Tutorial: How to Install Themes on Samsung Star

You Need to Flash or Not : 
To applying themes or installing Games in your Samsung Star,
at first you need to know your Samsung Star's firmware version : press *#1234# and Note it ! If it is MXEIL2, then you dont need to flash your phone, Just follow Patching steps (at the last) otherwise if it is S5230BVIF1 or S5230CEIF5 or any other firmware then you need to,

1. Flash your phone
   
2. Apply patch.
   
3. Create "Res" folder under Phone memoty
   
4. Copy (Nevia Menu or Whatever u like) Menu.swf and Gadget.swf into it, That's it !  
   
   

How to flash your Samsung Star 5230/5233 Mobile: 
To Flashing your Samsung Star follow the following steps..

• Remember flashing can break your phone Parmanently, so Be Carefull.
• I recommend you do not try this, just read, learn and forget it.
• I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE TO ANY DAMAGE OF PHONE SO IT IS UPTO YOU TO TRY IT(flash) OR NOT.
• This is a guideline intended for professional technicians.
• USE AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!
•  IF U ACCEPT above conditions/dangers THEN FOLLOW THE FOLLOWING STEPS. 
  Total Time takes: 10-15 minutes (It depends upon your system configuration)

1. Check Sim lock & network lock, type *#7465625# and make sure the SIMLOCK & NETWORK LOCK is OFF.
   
   
2. Then, 
   
   
   
   1. Download and Install Samsung New PC Studio/NPS (its required) from : official Samsung Site.
   2. Download  MultiUploader
   3.  Download MXEIL2 from any trustworthy source
   4. Unpack it and Copy the folder on Desktop.
   
   
3. Backup Everything (including Pnonebook, Massages etc),
   
   
4. Disconnect your phone and Close NPS.
   
   
5. Click on "Star Menu" then search/run and type "msconfig"(without quotes), under start up tab, click “disable all” and then press OK button.
   
   
6. Restart your PC
   
   
7. Remove the Sim and MicroSD from your phone and replace the battery.
   
   
8. Now press "volume-up-button" + "camera-key" + "power-button" at the same time in switch off mode without connect with the data-cable. The phone will start with Red/Blue/Black screen says "Download"
   
   
9. Attach the datacable to the phone and open MultiLoader V5.56 (Previously downloaded).  
   
10. Select radio button BRC2133, Boot Change, Full Download & Master rom.  
    
11. Then click Boot, and select the boot file from the Desktop firmware folder. 
    
    
    
    
12. Click Amss and choose"apps_compressed.bin"
    
    
    
    
13.  'Apps' left blank.
    
    
14. Select Rsrc1
    
    
    
    
15. Rsrc2 (Low) 
    
16. Select the Factory FS file.
    
    
    
    
17. FOTA, ETC and Tune fields are left blank.
    
    
    
    
18. Click the Port Search button, it will find your phone and show the com port is ready.
    
    
19. Check all those Boot, Amss, Rsrc1, Rsrc2 and Factory FS boxes buttons and Make sure everything is OK.
    
20. Click the download button and be patient, this will only take a few minutes to complete. 
    NOTE: If you fails to flash then Do not try to restart your phone !!! Just Restart your computer and try from step 7 !
    
21. When it’s finished, it will show “Ok Complete”.
    
    
22. Unplug the phone from the PC,
    
    
23. Install the sim and mSD card and Then Restart your Phone.
    
    
24. Type *2767*3855# for herd reset (optional)
    
25. Type *#1234# to check your new Firmware version.
    
    
26.  In PC,
    
    
    
    1. Click on "Star Menu" then search/run and type "msconfig"(without quotes), under start up tab, click “enable all” and then press OK button.
    2. Restart your PC. 
    
    
27. Enjoy !
